Emoticons

Below are large and small emoticons and icons for the POD IM application. The lower set includes corporate-specific icons such as did you approve my expense account?, My Boss and Snail Mail.

Tool Bar Icons

The POD supports legacy systems such as Windows 98. These systems do not allow alpha channels to be embedded in the icon file. Due to this limitation, all tool bar icons were meticulously aliased. Aliasing is the act of removing all edge transparency so that the edges are fully opaque. The challenge is is that the background color is not a constant. Therefore, a balance must be struck between light and dark edge color so the icon will look proper on most background colors.

Small Icons (16x16 & 20x20)

I also created several tiny icons for the POD. Many of these were status indicators that required several different states. These icons are also aliased for older operating systems.

Print Icons

Large, higher-resolution icons were created for a print project. These and most of the icon designs for the screen resolution icons begin larger than this (at 800x800 pixels) and are leter reduced and refined.
